Outdoor Kitchen Islands and Racks

Outdoor kitchen islands, cabinets, and serving trolleys in metal and wood finishes

Individual outdoor kitchen pieces give you the flexibility to build your setup piece by piece, add to an existing configuration, or simply get one well-chosen island into the garden without committing to a full set. Each piece is designed to work standalone or alongside others from the same range.

Who are individual pieces for?

Single pieces suit a few different situations. If you already have an outdoor kitchen set and want to extend the worktop or add a dedicated sink, a matching cabinet or island slots in without disrupting what's already there. If you're starting from scratch but have a smaller garden or terrace, a single island with integrated storage and a sink can cover most outdoor cooking needs without the footprint of a multi-piece configuration. And if you're not ready to commit to a full setup, a standalone piece is a useful way to try outdoor cooking properly before going further.

What types of single pieces are available?

Kitchen islands are the most self-contained option, combining a worktop, storage, and in many cases a built-in sink in a single freestanding unit. They work as the centrepiece of a growing outdoor kitchen or as a complete standalone setup in their own right. Kitchen cabinets are lower-profile and typically positioned alongside an island or against a wall to extend the workspace and add extra storage capacity.

Garden serving trolleys offer a more mobile alternative - useful for moving food and drinks between the cooking area and the table rather than as a fixed cooking station. Bar tables add a standing-height surface for drinks and casual eating, and pair naturally with the rest of the range without requiring any additional seating.

Which materials should you look for?

Frame material is the first choice to make. Metal frames are the lower-maintenance option - powder-coated finishes resist moisture, rust, and UV exposure through all seasons without needing any treatment. Wood frames have a warmer, more natural character that suits gardens with planting, decking, or stone, but benefit from a coat of wood oil once or twice a year to stay in good condition, particularly in wetter climates.

Worktop material makes a real difference to day-to-day practicality. Metal worktops are the most hardwearing - heat-resistant, easy to clean, and hygienic around food preparation. Synthetic worktops are the best choice where staining is a concern, as they're non-porous and require no sealing or special upkeep to maintain their surface. Wood worktops look excellent but need more regular care than either alternative, and hold up best in covered outdoor areas rather than fully exposed settings.

How do individual pieces hold up outdoors over time?

All pieces are built specifically for outdoor use, with metal or wood frames treated to withstand rain, temperature changes, and direct sun. Metal frames are the lower-maintenance option, needing little more than an occasional wipe down. Wooden pieces benefit from a coat of wood oil once or twice a year to keep the surface in good condition. Worktops in metal, wood, or synthetic materials are all designed to handle outdoor cooking conditions, though it's worth checking the specific care instructions for whichever finish you choose.
